A Little Bit About Me

I’m one of the luckiest people I know.

Seriously.

I have a fantastic job at KEXP 90.3FM, the best radio station in the whole world. If you don’t know KEXP, you should. If you like music even the tiniest little bit, do yourself a favor and check them out. And living outside of Seattle is no excuse – you can stream online at KEXP.ORG.

I also have an incredible family. Two sets of parents, two brothers and the best sister on the planet. My extended family is just about as awesome, and every bit as dear to me.

But best of all is my fiancee, Chris. He asked me to marry him in April 2008, and I’ve been floating on clouds ever since. I couldn’t imagine spending my life with anyone else, and I fall in love with him a little more every day.

So while I have cancer, and that stinks, I consider myself a pretty lucky girl. Not everyone has what I do.

Hi Aubrey, I hope you remember me. I was temporarily in the Tap Root improv group with you. I just got off of the phone with Omar and he sent your blog to me. I want you to know that we prayed together for you while on the phone and I send my love and blessings to you. My daughter has been going through quite an ordeal since she presented with a brain tumor in May of 2006. She is healed in Jesus’ name and will be a testament for Him and faith. Omar and I are in agreement that you too will live a long and blessed life as you endure this time. When we worked togeter I thought of you as someone that I truley liked, even though I was kind of an odd duck in the group. Anyway I can see you face now and hoped to find a photo if you on you blog pages.

Know that you will continue to be in my prayers and that I am always here to chat or to lean on for any support that you may need.

    God Bless you….. Jack

    Aubrey,
Even though we’ve never met, I just wanted to let you know what an incredible woman you are. I have read a few of your blogs & plan to read more as I have time. I didn’t realize that you were writing about all you are going through until I saw someone’s post on Chris’ FB regarding your blog. I thought I would check it out and now know why Chris fell in love with you. My mom has always let me know what is going on in your lives and she brags about how awesome & strong you are! I hope that some day we can meet & I can tell you all this in person. Welcome to the family & I plan on checking your blog so that I can get to know you better.

Merry Christmas….and enjoy your early present!

    Teresa (Chris’ cousin)
